Apartment from the thirties (2)
We renovated an apartment situated in a 1930’s residential building. The new apartment retains its historical feel while making necessary functional adjustments for contemporary living. The spacious rooms feature lofty ceilings, made even higher after removing the suspended ceiling and uncovering the original raw concrete roof construction. The heart of the apartment is the kitchen, and the heart of the kitchen is the large the buffet that continues into a convenient pantry. The joinery retains is designed to retain the spirit of the 1930’s. The made to measure furniture takes distance from the existing building by simply leaning against the old structure.
